DVCPROHD 1080i/60 29.97 fps to 1080i/50 29.97 fps conversion
I am trying to convert a bunch of DVCPROHD masters from 1080i/60, 29.97 fps to 1080i/50, 29.97 fps. I tried exporting through Compressor using the default DVCPROHD 1080i/50 codec in compressor, but in addition to my audio track 3 having no audio on it, I am also getting jerky video playback on my computer monitor of the converted program.
The only way I can get video out to an HD monitor is by switching my playback to 1080i/25, but it is also jerky. I don’t have a 1080i/50 deck until next week to do an actual edit to tape test or playback through the deck to a monitor. Are these issues simply a problem of trying to play back 50 material on an NTSC system designed for 1080i/60 or do I really have a problem with the converted video?
This is happening on two different systems a Kona 2 on a power PC and Kona 3 on an intel machine.
