    Hey guys i am about to start editing a project that is shot on DVCPro 50 and i was wondering if i can do that in Avid xpress pro ? How? Meaning is it dv ? Or component ?!!! details please would be appreciated

    Current PC version (v5) and upcoming Mac version (v5.5) can edit DV50 natively. You can use firewire as your I/O.

    sorry for the silly question but does that mean that i digitize it as DV video input ? what does that do to the video?!!

    No, it means that you would be capturing it native DV50 through the firewire. Not DV25.
