August 8, 2008 at 10:50 pmWhat are you feeding the Power Book with,, more ram is always nice,, but it sounds like you could use a video raid array to get you data thru put speed up.. Plug in two matched firewire drives and mirror stripe them…. see if that helps…

August 9, 2008 at 12:54 amI am storing media on a Glyph 500 GB external raid drive connected by FW800. …Perhaps I’ll swap out that 500MB RAM card for a 1 GB.

August 9, 2008 at 5:38 pmclick on my head at the top of the forum and you’ll find my review of the MXO. Basically the digital cinema preview to an ACD will be a nice looking image, but will be a low res proxie. Prone to artifacts and not able to show true broadcast color. The MXO does do this, plus will show proper interlaced fields. If you are dealing with interlaced footage.
