    Hey all,

Just wanted to pass along a huge scare that we got here this morning. Fired up our main editing system and every single DVCPro HD clip, about 5,000 though I only checked about 50, were completely corrupted. Digital garbage in 5 second bursts on both audio and video.

After trying everything else, I finally let Software Update bring the machine up to QT 7.0.3 and the corruption went away. I also let it update the Pro Applications Support which did have a note that it improved communications between the pro apps along with allowing FCP 5.0.3 to be installed.

Just an FYI for all you folks running DVCPro HD. Now if you will excuse me, I need a new pair of underwear……

Hey Walter, thanks for passing this along. What are you running the media off of?

Medea FCR2X Fibre Channel Array. I also move media to a G-RAID 800 as a test to see if that fixed it, but it didn’t.

Definitely a Quicktime corruption all the way on this one.
