DVCPRO HD Codec
I have recently recieved DVCPRO HD footage. I tried to play it on my computer, but I have Windows Vista. Is there a compatible format of the codec that will work with Vista, or is there another way to make this footage work?

The Sheer codecs by BitJazz.com are one way to go. Perhaps exporting in the ANIMATION codec…although that makes HUGE files.
DVCPRO HD is a codec that is only on machines that have FCP installed. So even a Mac cannot see the movie if it doesn’t have FCP on it.

You’ll have to buy the CODEC and utilities from a third party developer like Cineform (https://cineform.com/products/Aspect-Prospect.htm) DVFilm (https://www.dvfilm.com/products.htm) or Main Concept (https://www.mainconcept.com/site/?id=17958).
