Hi guys, we have a client that wants us to research and verify if we can capture 50P aquired footage and essentially framerate convert it to give a half speed slomo (at 25fps) in FCP 6.

Most people are saying it cant be done as there is no specific support for this, however i have heard there is a ‘fudge’ method that can be acheived? but no explanation is forthcoming…i have captured some test footage at 720 25p preset in FCP 6 (this was captured firewire) i guessed this would be a stsrt!

Has anyone actually done a 50p to 25p slomo succesfully??? does it involve using the framerate conversion plugin/tool, does it need FW capture or can it be captured HD SDi? do i have to modify a sequence preset? so many questions.

    hope someone might help.

    Chris
