DVCPRO HD 60i to 23.98 Whats the best way?

The Panasonic DVCPRO HD FRAME RATE CONVERTER is for making 60p slow motion 23.98…so that won’t do.

Either use the Nattress Standards Converter…or…just drop the 60i sequence into a 23.98 sequence and render. See what works best for you, as I do both methods. Both work for me.

What is your current format? What format do you need to deliver on? Converting to the format you need to deliver (say from DVCPRO HD to Uncompressed 10-bit HD 23.98), the render will take care of it all.

We need to deliver it on HDCAM 23.98 to be shown in the digital theater.

The both give the same resolution.

Just create a 10-bit uncompressed sequence at 23.98, and drop your assembled cut sequence into that and render. Oh…after you SCALE TO SEQUENCE each cut (in the SEQUENCE menu)…OR…export your cut as a self contained QT file and reimport that into a 10-bit sequence and render…or use the Nattress solution. See what works best.

Im having a similar problem
we digitized Varicam HD DVCPRO 60i to a 720 24p project
check marked to remove the redundant frames but some clips are still 60i
I installed the PAnasonic FRAME RATE CONVERTER but it doesnt seem to register that it even works no option window or anything
is there a way to go about this so I dont have to rent the deck again/ render the clip and have to rerender ever time I move it?
I too need this footage to be 23.98 to match all the other footage (From P2 Cards) and from the footage that digitzed correctly

please help
