  DVCPRO HD, 29.97. uncompressed 10bit, online

  Here we go:

  We shot a feature on a varicam at 23.98 (59.94). Offlined in 29.97-DVNTSC (I know we should have done DVCPROHD Compressed at 23.98) our assistant is now dubbed the “serial film killer” and is no longer with us.

  We now are locking reels and working in 29.97 DV. We want to start our online soon. What is the best workflow for us?
  We have the following:

  Dual 2.5
  Kona 2
  2.9TB (DRAID from the Dr.Group) Sata Raid
  1200a.

  I am thinking we go:
  Media manage to 59.94
  Capture in at 59.94 via Kona 2(no audio as we are in Pro tools with our audio)
  Uncompressed 10bit (although we have some issues of stuttering clips with 10bit on the DRAID–anyone else??)
  Re connect on a 59.94 timeline. Copy paste to 23.98 (removes duplicates)

  or
  Media Manage 29.97
  Capture 23.98 via Kona 2
  Uncompressed 10bit
  copy past 29.97 timeline to 23.98 timeline
  then re-connect.

  Or

  if anyone has a solution. We want to end up 23.98 10bit uncompressed.
