DVCPRO HD 1080p30 & AE CS4
I was given files in DVCPRO HD 1080p30 that need to be keyed. My AE CS4 can’t read them. They just appear as white. A separate program – VLC can read the files so I know they work somewhat.
The DVCPRO HD 1080p30 were exported from FCP on a Mac and I’m working on a Win/PC machine for After Effects. My AE is all up to date.
I tried to convert the files using MPEG Streamclip, but not even that can read the files accurately so I couldn’t even attempt the conversion.
Any suggestions? Do I need the the person I got the source files from to render out a different format?

here’s a free converter that should work because it can encode anything vlc can play.
