    Hello

I am exporting a 9 minute DVCPRO50 timeline for DVD distribution. My workflow has been FCP to DVDSP3. I have tried exporting as a QT reference file, exporting with conversion, and using Compressor to make the .m2v. I don’t notice a huge difference in quality between them, please correct me if I’m wrong. Export with conversion appears to recompress..

Anyway, my titles are Photoshopped and still unacceptable with any export to the original codec.

Can I export to an Animation codec reference file? Or uncompressed 8 bit?

BTW, my system is not uncompressed, and I can only “transcode” from the exporting.

    Thanks
    Sim

The best thing to do, but with a longer export time, is to Export to Compressor. All transitions are
rendered directly to the encoder for the best quality. It ties up your system longer though.

    Thanks Ed,

But what codec should I use?? My titles look horrible.

I have seen some discussions about rendering out to another
    less-lossy codec.
