Ok so am finishing up a feature length doco that was intended for DVD output…we now have opportunities that have arisen for a cinema release.

As this has come out of left field none of the post production has been done with this output in mind.

The doco has multiple sources (DV, HDV, Digibeta, super 8mm mostly PAL but also some NTSC) we conformed to a PAL DV50 sequence. What is the process of prepping this for a 35mm filmout?

It’s obviously not the most ideal situation not having cut in a 24fps sequence to start with. What am I looking at to complete this process and how painful/less is this likely to be.

    thanks

Find a post production facility that does Film Outs and ask them. Only they can give you the proper advice.
