DV sync problems
Hi, I’ve been having problems doing something that I’ve done hundreds of times before, with the exact same equipment and set-up; Batch capturing DV footage from an XL2 camera to a powerbook g4 using FCP 5.0.X. But now I’m getting about 30% of the files with the audio out of sync. And not just a little out, as much as 3 or 4 seconds out. During the batch capture process, I’ve noticed that occasionally, at the end of capturing a clip, a dialouge box comes up saying something along the lines of ‘verifying audio data’. Anyone have any thoughts on why this is happening? Is it time for a new computer? Cheers.

What kind of hard drive (internal/external) and how full is it?
Has it been de-fragmented?
