Hey folks. I was just wondering if someone could tell me what the BEST QUALITY capture and render and sequence and whatever else settings I can have in Final Cut Pro? I have a 15 second clip, so I will definitely have enough storage space for any setting. It is just amazing how blurry it look even compared to viewing it on the little screen on my camcorder.

I am using a canon zr200 — nothing fancy — I just want it to look as good as possible. Thanks a lot,
    Dave

    Dave,

That is a very loaded question but I would say that if you want to keep it looking like the original then I would stay in the DV format. You can capture it directly to the DV codec and then output it back to tape in the DV codec.

    This way is lossless.

And be sure to watch the video back through the camera to a TV monitor, or you’re not seeing what it actually looks like.
