I downloaded the SW softwear and cannot digitize any footage into SW?
I’ve tried both DV and HDV formats.

    Sony FX-1
    M100 SW10.2d.504.14
    QT 7.0.1
    OS10.3.9

First off, there is no ‘digitize’ choice, just ‘log’. And second, I cannot see any video trying all the choices of HD, i or 884x, or JPEG B?

    Anybody get this to work?

The current beta version of Media 100 sw does not allow digitizing of Media files using FireWire; this functionality is still under development. But you can use material digitized by iMovie, FCP, Media 100 i, 844/X and other tools. Probably the next beta version will support FireWire I/O.

Have had no luck getting HDV video from my Sony FX1 into M100SW. When I capture the clips via FCP 5 in native HDV, M100SW gets an error when I try to import the clips, probably because they are still in MPEG2 format. Presumably M100 will have a workflow for this when the software is released, but that sort of negates being able to try it out first.

No, you won’t be able to get HDV into any version of Media 100, not even the HD version. The only way to do that is to go in via one of the conversion boxes and I am planning to do that with Convergent Design which will convert HDV to HD (but not vice versa). Media 100 may be enabling you to take DV into their HD version via firewire later this year, but certainly not HDV in its native form.
