DV Camera In Premiere!! please help asap
Ok so I have the camera and the Firewire card. 2 things. When I try to make it show on the monitor ( a GE Interlogiz miltiplex monitor) It is very choppy, It shows for a second then goes choppy again,. It’s a JVC digital Dualcam. A good camera. Also can I run an external device via composite through the camera into premiere? Any ideas on how to do that?

I have never had problems capturing with Premiere using Firewire connection. Do you have a lot of other programs running in the background while trying to capture? What speed is your hard drive? How much RAM do you have? Processor speed?
On your second question, yes. You connect your analogue device to the camera, then the camera to your PC via Firewire, this is called using the camera as a “passthrough.”
