    Hi,
    i’m trying to make these Shape layer animations with Trim Paths, and to make a ‘cool’ effect I duplicate the shape layer and delay them, filling with another color.

    The “problem” is when i duplicate the layer, i still can see the other behind: https://prntscr.com/762uym

    Am i missing something or it’s supposed to be like this?

    Thanks for your time.

    View it at full resolution and see if that helps.

    It basically 1px difference, but depending the color scheme of shapes/background looks like the top shape has a stroke.

    I just posted the screenshot with zoom to exemplify my doubt.

    If i put the right colors in the shapes and use at scale 100 or less it “masks” the bottom layer. I made this post just to see if it has another way to “mask” this ‘stroke’ that appear sometimes, without changing the colors.

    Thanks for your time.

    I’ve hit the exact same problem. My work around seems to be making the first(earliest)stroke that animates in a few decimal points smaller in the stroke parameter, and increase it for each layer of stroke you add until the last one animates on is the desired stroke weight. Seems like a good cheat.

    @Mike Pindara

    Thank you, this is actually works really fine for shape-only, didn’t think about that!

    I’m gonna try to adapt this kind of thinking for shapes with Alpha Matte on text layers.

    Thanks again!

    Glad you found a good solution. 🙂 Just food for thought, but you could also try duplicating the bottom layer and using it as a track matte for your fill layer. Make your fill layer extra thick so it fills everything in the matte.
