  DSLR Powered Zoom

  Just thought I would share this with everyone. Like many of you, we wish we could have a nice, powered zoom for our DSLR rigs. And with quality zoom controls (Unlike the crappy motors/rockers on most pro-sumer HD cameras).

  Well, using some of my old motion picture gear, I rigged up a CP J6 motor/controller unit to my Canon 5DMkII. Now I can get absolutely smooth starts/spots and presidential speed zooms.

  I’ve also used it with my older Sony HDV cameras too. Works with any camera that you can put a ring on the zoom.
