DSLR conversion for PAL
I have a question about converting footage that I shot on my 5D for use in Australia. I have footage that was shot at 1920×1080 and 24 frames. Unfortunately I did not receive the needed specs for delivery in time for the shoot and therefore need to convert my footage to meet their specs. Basically a case of the cart before the horse I suppose.
The specs for the deliverable are the following:
VIDEO 720 X 576 (unscaled)
AUDIO 24 Bit (Big Endian) 48 KHz
ASPECT RATIO – 16:9 (Full Height Anamorphic)
30 framesI attempted a few things in MPEG Streamclip but feel like I may have missed something. Any advice on how to do deal with this? I know what needs to be done as far as shooting in PAL going forward but we are trying to use existing footage for the first episode of this series.

Interesting specs. Pal is 25fps not 30.

In any case I prefer Compressor over mpeg streamclip for frame rate conversions.
What software suite / editing platform do you use?

Check the settings, as Colin said they’re not correct PAL with that frame rate.
Also I live and work in Australia and haven’t shot an SD job for years, those pixel specs are SD settings.
You should be able to shoot 1280 x 720 or 1920 x 1080 but you must be at 25fps or 50fps and the conversion will be easy to any PAL system.
