    This is driving me crazy!
Just a simple :30 TV spot.

Every now and then my Prem 1.5 just keeps hanging up and dropping frames!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve re-rendered the :30 from AE like several different ways – no luck!
I’m doing the same thing that I’ve been doing for ever – why the new problem!
It won’t even play a compressed AVI out of AE.

The thing is, I’ll go weeks without the problem, but when it surfaces – it sucks! Seems like it never happened till I put in a new 256meg vid card a couple of months ago, but I don’t think that it’s related because the problem is so infrequent.

Any tips on how to fix this?

    Thanks

By the way, the compressed movies play fine on windows media player.

I’ve tried rendering with and without audio, New Premier comps on different hard drives ( same computer )

And no luck. It’s got to be a Premier thing.
I even tried to assign a high prioity to the comp with win xp – no luck.

I feel like kicking the screen in : )

any other (than a camcorder) firewire devices attached to your PC? What are the properties of the AE video clip? What are your Premiere project settings?
