  Dropped Frames

  I’m editing a sequence captured in HDV and the timeline will not play out; I’m chronically getting the “Dropped Frames” box. I’m running FCP 6.0.6 on a fairly new Mac Pro with 16 gigs of RAM; the media is internally stored on (3) 1 TB drives that I striped together as a RAID 0 set. Surely the drives are fast enough; I cannot figure out what’s causing the stoppage. The drives are formatted as Mac Extended (not journaled). No media exists on my internal stand-alone drive so strike that off the list. I color corrected the show (4 min long) and rendered it all to the RAID; it still wont play out. What gives? Thanks.
