Drop shadow issue…
Have a TV commercial that has several green screens. We are using the FCP internal BLUE/GREEN keyer and we get an absolutely perfect key. One shot is keyed on a backround and we turned on the drop shadow in the motion menu. When it renders the whole keyed image has a terrible flicker, it almost looks noisey. Turn the drop off and the key renders perfect. Is this a combination of filters that does not work? If so, what is a simple work around other than doubling the image and making my own shadow. Using FCP 5 and a KONA Card rendering at 10bit. Just for curiousity I exported the clips to a DV timeline to bypass the Kona and the problem did not go away.

Your problem does sound odd…
You might try to nest the composite, then add a drop shadow to the nest.Kevin Monahan
