  • Dreadful Customer Service, Delivered 1 month after ordering CS6 Production Premium? Still waiting

Posted by Nick Brown on May 24, 2012 at 5:12 pm

Ordered April 30, expected delivery May 31-April 4th.
Adobe sales took my order and used my billing address, a PO box as the shipping address. FedEx doesn’t deliver to PO Boxes. It took a week to travel from Georgia to California and another to return to the shipper.

Then the problems started. Customer support kept assuring me it would be taken care of. after 18 calls and 5 hours on hold, being transferred from one clueless rep to anther, being cut off and needing to explain the situation over and over again I found someone that actually fixed the order. That was five day ago now my software that I paid for and expected deliver n May 7th is still at the Adobe shippers warehouse.

My advice is to take the download option because if there is a glitch in the Adobe sales and fulfillment system you will be forced to run to push and push and push to get customer service to do their job.

    Agreed.

In this day and age its almost pointless to order the retail box.

I download, install and archive with serial numbers and purchase receipt.

    Done.

Chris, I wanted to archive the 5.5GB. file I downloaded but it wouldnt fit on my data dvds which is my preferred way to archive software. How did you do it?

I put anything installed on our mac edit systems, in the “documents” folder.
So if it ever needs re-installation its readily available. These documents
are also copied over when new installs or new workstations are setup.

Then I put them on an external drive for redundancy if burning to a DVD disc
is not big enough. You “could” burn it to a DVD+R DL but I’ve found they
can be readable one day then a year later when you need something they
    mysteriously are un-readable.

I see. Well I ended up opting for the box of dvds. Its like a security blanket knowing I have them. 😉

If you ordered from Adobe you will always be able to download from your account.

Thats exactly what I did Ann. I placed my order, downloaded and installed. And tomorrow I will see the FedX folks delivering my box. 😀

I use Blu-ray disks, DLT tape and a RAID10 array for long term storage. Mission critical files are backed up in 2 places.

Unfortunately there is no DSL or cable available on the ranch I’m at 15 miles from San Jose. My internet connection is wireless with the ISP. Very expensive bandwidth. Downloading can take hours if several others are on the Internet.

San Jose..hell you could probably go pick them up at the Adobe office from Al Mooney himself 😀

I wonder If I can do that? I don’t have the serial number that’s in the box. Did you download the complete production Premium?

I’m afraid of what I might say or do if I met any of Adobe’s management after the abysmal customer service I’ve received.
