drastic increase in project filesize
i’ve been working on a project steadily this week and suddenly the saved project’s file size jumped from 1.5mb to 50mb, and i started running out of ram. if i re-open an older version before the file size ballooned, everything is fine until i try to copy/paste any clip, at which point my machine slows, and when i save, the file size has gone up again (the more i copy/paste, the larger the file gets). it seems as if it’s storing the copied clip in the project file permanently.
i’ve tried trashing prefs and looking around in settings to no avail. help would be very much appreciated.
i have fcp4 running on a dual 1ghz w/512mb ram.

It may help to dump ALL the render files associated with the project, and also to copy the timeline & bins into a new project.
