DPX to film out
Hello All,
I am trying to build a cinema server for a small film club here in India. We currently have DPX(log) files which were graded on Lustre or some other DI machines. What we need is to convert the DPX files in to a format which looks similar to film print.
Currently we are loading the DPX files in After effects and using Cineon Converter effect to convert it to linear but the out put is no where close to Film print. We are giving out put in MPEG2 format.
I am uploading a sample DPX file. Can some one tell me how exactly to convert in to a print-like image.
If you can convert the image and send it, I will be greatful to you. Thanks

there’s a lot more to it: color management, LUTs, Full range, etc.
You need to know all this about the original dpx’s or you’re walking in the dark.https://technicolorsoftware.hostzi.com/
