  DPX playback stutters, but AJA 10bit RGB QT doesn’t

  I am up to date on everything (OS, QT, FCP, Gluetools) and I am having an issue with DPX playback. It gets 2 seconds into the clip and stutters in both Quicktime and Final Cut. The SAME exact file plays back no problem when I take that DPX sequence and re-wrap into a QT using the AJA utility. Is there some weirdness attributed to Gluetools or such that I am not aware of?

  There’s no reason for this to not play on my raid as a DPX sequence and plays fine (I can even play 2 simultaneous streams!) as an AJA 10bit RGB LOG file – both self contained and reference!
