    Hello,

I’m working on vfx (AE CS3)for a movie, shot in 16mm film 24FPS.
I received from the lab, 2K DPX 10bit log files. (First time I work on that type of workflow).
Then I have to render it back with the same specs…

    My problem is :
When I import the DPX sequence in AE, the default frame rate of each DPX shots is set on 25FPS.(And it should be 24fps)

Does it mean there is a problem with the DPX files (25fps instead of 24fps), or I just have to set the “interpret footage” settings of each shots manually on 24fps? (as the comp)…

    Thanks for your attention

    Dan

Hi, try this, within the Preferences>Import dialog. Set the Sequence Footage value to 24. Now all sequences will import by default at 24.

    Thanks for your answers.

I think I’ve solve my problem.

I’ve made a test render of a DPX sequence at 24fps, then re-import the sequence in AE and the interpretation is still at 25fps

So, I think that the problem is only because I’m working with a PAL system…So my AE settings are set at 25fps.

    Thanks anyway
