DPS reality with AE…anyone…

I do, but I use the Velocity software package on it. You can use just Reality if you wish, I suppose. You need the AE I/O plugins which can be downloaded from the Leitch/DPS website.

I have been using it for many years actually and just started using the actual DPS codec to render directly to a DPS file, much easier. (I used to have to create a targa sequence in DPS, just black frames, and then I would render a targa sequence out of AE and replace each frame when rendering) I can not figure out how to render audio out of AE as a DVA? I am rendering the animation to DPS then I export a wav. file out of AE and load that into DPS. Is there a way to render audio and video together out of AE?

Also we are running into a huge problem with sharing AE projects between work stations that have DVAs in them. It won’t let us open the project on a new work station, it crashes. Any help would be huge!!

our channel also hav the dps velocity and dps reality

the plugin are acutally outdated ones.. the new plugins is not yet released …

i also used to render large targa sequences adn then import it using dps reality as dps files

but with the plugin i am rendering straight to dps files…
i also tried rendering out to dva files…
eventhough time line had music in it and i selected dva frm the output module, it didnt work… it gives some error message…

i think the main prob is with the outdated plugins …
wish leitch gives out the new plugins 🙂

what is your dps velocity adn reality version ???
and are you using ae 6.5 ??
