Hi, I’ve heard great things about the 4061 and here (Hong Kong) it is cheaper than the COS11.

The only thing that concerns me slightly is that most of the recommendations for the DPA are from people recording instruments/vocals.

Is it still a good choice for documentary interview?

    Thanks, Andy

Umm…either would make a perfectly fine tool in the hands of a capable operator. If I were you, I’d demo both to see which I preferred. Can that be arranged in your case? Surely there must be some rental company you can call.

Wearing my Dubbing mixer hat, Ive received interviews / audio recorded by BOTH mics and have been perfectly happy with either. They are both well respected manufacturers, but like everything in life, people have their preferences, so Id agree with the demo suggestion if possible.
