Downloading and converting Microsoft Windows Media 9 streaming video
I need a miniDV or quicktime version of a specific music video. I can’t find it anywhere except on VH1’s streaming V-Spot site. Does anyone know how to crack the codec and capture/download and convert these streaming videos? (This is not for illegal re-distribution, I’m a good person, and I even pay my taxes.) Any advice would be great.

You can’t download the files because they’re being streamed. The technique is designed to allow tax paying citizens to watch the videos while preventing them from downloading and distributing them. Shoot with a camera off of your monitor if you are really desperate to copy the video…

you could cotnact the people that have the rights and ask them for a copy, somehow, i bet they’ll charge you!
