    Downgrade with FCP?

    I filmed with a Sony DV camera, edited it in Final Cut Pro 6, and continued the work in FCP 7.
    Can I go into FCP 2 – or any older versions to finish my editing? I heard you can always upgrade, but NEVER downgrade with FPC. True?

    You would not be able to open the FCP project file. our best chance would be to try an older version of XML.

    EXPORT XML
    try to IMPORT XML in older version of FCP

    The project file itself is not backwards compatible.
