    Hello,

    I have a some XDCAM footage in an XDCAM project in CS3. I need to downconvert the footage for use in another SD project. I do not have the original mpeg4 files available to me. All I have is the mxf files, so downconverting using the Sony Clip Browsing software is not possible. What’s the best way to go about downconverting the mxf files to a letterboxed 4×3 AVI using Premiere?

    Should I go:
    HD 16×9 -> 16×9 AVI -> 4×3 AVI

    or

    HD 16×9 -> 4×3 AVI

    or

    Some other way?

    Thanks.
