  downconverting 24P with the 1200A – help!!

  I apologize for cross posting this, but I tried the Varicam forum and haven’t received any answers so I figured I’d try here …

  I tried contacting Panasonic about this but they sounded a little unsure of themselves and this is too important for me to screw up – so…

  I’m shooting 720P24. For delivery I need to deliver an HD Master and also a SD letterboxed master. I’ll be going from a 1200A to Pany’s DVCPRO 50 deck the AJSD93. Can I do the downconvert via firewire or do I have to go SDI. I know I can downconvert 720P60 to letterbox SD via Firewire but I am not sure about 24P, because I don’t know if the 1200A can add the pulldown via Firewire.
