    Hello All,
I am sure this has been answered here somewhere but I’m just too stressed to see it.
Here’s my problem. I was part of a trio shooting a concert in SD when my SD camera went down. I hadn’t locked off the tilt on my tripod. I live nearby, so I brought in my Varicam and set it at 60fps. The footage looks great in hd but when converted to interlaced DV in FCP it looks much softer and strobby like film. This is a problem since the other cameras look like razor sharp video.
The input card is a Decklink Xtreme HD. Does anyone know the best input paramerters for conversion to SD?
    Thanks,
    Reg

How did you down convert the footage? I always use the deck to downconvert the HD to SD. Software downconversions never look good in my opinion.

Software. I will see if I can find a deck to rent.

What about a converter box such as the Aja HD10MD3? Any experience with one of these?
    Thanks, Reg
