I’m cutting using double system sync. Video is from a 5D; audio is from a Zoom recorder.

After syncing, is there a way to lock the double system tracks in sync with the video?

The Modify > Mark In Sync command isn’t doing it.

I don’t want to Nest because I need access to the discrete audio tracks.

I take it that this feature will be in FCP X, but I need it now. Am I SOL?

    Thanks,

    Jim Curtis

Look up Merge Clip in the Help files

Merge Clips isn’t working for some reason, but Link Clips is, and that’s actually what I wanted to do. I must have had a brain lapse. I know about Link Clips, but I guess I was thinking that it only worked for AV clips that had the audio and video together, and it was a method of unlinking them.

Anyway… thanks for your reply, John. It jump-started me where coffee did not.

Merge clip does not work in the timeline. You do it in the Browser and Viewer.
