    Double clicking the control key to advance the playhead a specific timeframe, but not working

    Hello,

    I am trying to advance the playhead in Avid Media Composer 6.5 in the source monitor to set an out point by double-clicking the control key and inputting a time and pressing return. However, when I do this nothing happens. The software just makes a noise saying that the attempt was declined. Does anyone know why this is happening?

    It works when I put a negative value, but not when I put a positive value.

    I figured it out. You have to put a plus sign beforehand in order to advance the playhead forward however long of time you want. To put the plus sign on my system you need to press shift + control then “+”.
