  • Double-click “Multicam” to open in Source Monitor vs Timeline

<div>I got a project back from my assistant editor, and he has made multicams in a way that leaves me scratching my head. I THINK he hand synced the clips in a timeline vs using Premiere’s “create multicam” then enabled multicam in the main timeline (under Clip), so when I hit 1, 2, or 3 it goes to the other cameras, but when I double-click, it doesn’t open in Source view, it opens in a Timeline. I can right-click in the Project window and open in Source view, but it only shows the top clip, not the handy multicam view.</div><div>

We’re too far along to go back and start over, so I’m wondering if there’s a way to turn on “open in Source with multicam view” on these sequences. Even their icons are regular Sequence icons vs Multicam icons, so I’m afraid this is what we have to work with, but I’m ever hopeful.

We’re both using Premiere 23.0.0 on Macs.

    TIA!
