Double-checking to see if I have this right
I have Vegas4 and had AC3 5.1 Surround working perfectly until I had to reformat my HardDrive.
After the reformat of my HD, I reinstalled Vegas4 WITHOUT installing DVD-Architect1.0.
Now when I go to render an *.ac3 audio file directly out of Vegas4 (and do a Save-As *.AC3)….a box pops-up from Sony saying I have to BUY the plugin at $199…..
Not having DVD-A1.0 installed is probably my problem, right?
Sooooo in panic-mode last night….I jumped the gun and ordered Vegas6 off the Internet…. thinking by geting V6, it would automatically cure my AC3 problem. I was wrong, wasn’t I?
DO I HAVE THIS RIGHT?: when I do get around to installing Vegas6 “right-out-of-the-box” I MUST install DVDA1.0 and everything will return to normal wher I can render *.ac3 files in 5.1 surround…RIGHT???
I’ve been looking at buying DVD-A4.0 “STUDIO” Edition…but I get this feeling that the “Studio” version will NOT allow me to do *.ac3 files in 5.1 surround WITHOUT haivng DVDA1.0 still in place. AM I RIGHT ON THIS ASSUMPTION AS WELL?
