I’ve always received great feed back here so if this is not the correct spot for this question I apologize. I’m looking for a DVD, Podcast ETC… that can walk me through the FCP Studio 2 package. I bought a copy of FCP for Avid editors when I 1st got this system so that help greatly.

I’m not much of a reader, so although this software comes with an encyclopedia of manuals I’ve only managed to browse through them before zoning them out. Is their a dvd or podcast version of these manuals.

I have only dabbled with most of the software that is in the bundle and I want to start using it to its full potential. When I use motion or soundtrack I struggle to do some of the basics. I always seem to miss a key stroke or step not allowing me to do exactly what I want.

I opened color once and I didn’t even try to mess with it, I have no idea what cinema is for I started a dvd test project once on dvd studio pro and couldn’t get it to burn a dvd. I have been mastering with idvd which is lame when you have DVD studio pro. Live type has been the easiest for me but I’m sure their’s stuff I’m missing. I’ve had some success with compressor as well.

I have found some great podcast here on this website but I feel like I’m just scratching the surface.

I’m not necessarily looking for free stuff, although that is always nice, lol. I willing to pay for it. I’m tired of running a 12 cylinder engine off of 1 or 2 cylinders.

I believe the apps come with tutorials and the media needed to do them. Look through the install discs. That might be a good place to start. And you’ve already paid for it.

Thanks Fred. You are 100% correct. I do have the dvd that came with the package and I originally played it but to me it looked like some sales promo.

I’d already bought FCP studio so I just glanced through it. It actually has some detailed podcasts in it, you have to enable your DVD player to play them or move them to itunes for you before you can see them.
