  • Doing Reverse Slowmotion at 25% and getting flicker when compressed to DVD

So, I am changing the speed on a couple of clips to 25% and also making them reverse. The footage was shot with a PD150 standard. On the apple monitor, it looks fine, actually there is a little vibrating in the background, but when it gets compressed (compressor 90min Best), burned in DVD studio Pro, and played on a monitor or projected, it really flickers and vibrates. Is there a filter in FCP that I can use to help get rid of this? I tried the flicker filter, but wasn’t to impressed. I know FCP is making up frames to compensate for the longer length and that is why it probably looks weird. Just curious if there is a way to fix this.

    Thanks,

    Benton
