Does this workflow make sense with Speech Search?
I’m editing a documentary in Final Cut Pro with tons of interview footage from many different subjects.
The director seems to want to be able to say “Hey, see if anyone says ______” and have me be able to find that clip. Since they can’t afford to transcribe everything, my next option was to use Speech Search.
My idea for a workflow would be to take the footage and bring it into Premiere, then do the speech search function. I would still cut the movie in final cut pro, but when the director asked for a bite, I would then fire up premiere pro and search for that text.
So, say I wanted to look up the word “Happy”. Can I open up premiere, search for “Happy”, and then see all the instances across all clips where the word “happy” comes up? I don’t want to have to search each of the 1,000s of clips individually for the same word. Also, is it possible to export the transcription to a text document?
Just trying to see if it’s worth it for me to buy premiere for this application.
