    Does the Io LD/LA family manage to bypass the 2 channel limit of audio via Firewire?

    Hi there,

    I want to capture 4 channels of audio via SDI into a MacBook Pro.

    I had discounted Io as an option because, as I understand it, Final Cut can only capture 2 audio channels via firewire, and Io uses firewire.

    But AJA literature seems to suggest you can do it. Can anyone give me a definitive answer one way or the other from their experience with the Io-s?

    Yup, the Io LA and Io support 4 channel analog audio.

    AS long as you have QT 7 and FCP 5.0 or above.
