Does projects saved in Vegas 11 not open up in Vegas 9?!!
I have a project that I have edited and saved on Vegas 11 but I am using a flash drive and using a different computer that has Sony Vegas 9 but the .veg file will not open (in 9). Is that true? Is there a way around it? Thanks in advance

There is no way around this. You can open projects saved in earlier versions in later versions, but not vice versa. Sorry.

The only way around it is to have Vegas Pro 11.0 and 9.0 open on the same system and cut and paste between the two but even then you will loose track FX and other things. As Mary said, there is backward compatibility in newer versions for opening older files but older versions of Vegas cannot open newer files.
