I just had a quick question regarding RAM for After Effects. I recently got an Intel Mac Pro 8 Core, I’m going to be running AE CS4 very heavily.

Does is matter what brand of RAM you buy? I’m going to be picking up a bunch of “Certified Data RAM” possibly going to up 24GB. I also had an option to buy Kingston, but the Certified brand was slightly cheaper and the place I’m looking has a great deal on it. To my knowledge it doesn’t matter but I just wanted to make sure incase anyone has had other experiences.

    Many Thanks in advance.

    Cheers

If RAM is compatible with the machine, it is with AE

You’ll probably find the same answer everywhere you posted this question: RAM is RAM.

Many Thanks for the feedback everyone, i just wanted to be sure since the Certified Data Ram was a bit cheaper then the Kingston, I guess it’s just brand prestige.

    Cheers
