does dvdsp recognize 16:9 footage?
When i output from fcp as a 16:9 project, it comes out as 4:3. Will dvdsp somehow pick this up?

If you export a 16:9 project from FCP it should show up as 16:9 in DVD Studio Pro. That’s how I exported my film earlier this month and then I set up DVD SP as a 16:9 project. My movie plays full screen on an HDTV monitor and in Letterbox on an SD monitor automatically.

If you’re working with anamorphic footage and you’ve exported correctly, make sure your DVDSP track is set to 16:9 letterbox instead of 4:3. If you click on the track icon in the upper left window (default setup), the 16:9 option should become available in a window on the lower right.
