    Does anyone know of a good moderately priced video editing monitor

    I need a quality monitor for editing video. I have a high resolution 1200×1600 21″ Samsung 213T for my computer monitor and I can get the picture looking perfect on it BUT when I play it through firewire to my Sony deck and then via S-Video to my Samsung 26″ HD LCD it looks terrible.

    Does anyone know of a good monitor for editing primarily DV footage. Most professional monitors are extremely over-priced. I’m open to all suggestions, even if someone knows of a consumer TV model that gives fairly accurate colors.

    I think the Toshiba LCDs look better.

    The JVC range of professional CRTs are a good buy too.
