Does anyone know how to get rid of gray vertical bar infront of 00:00:00
Does anyone know how to get rid of the gray vertical bar in front of 00:00:00. i swear it wasnt there before. i have been using fcp x for about 2 years and i dont know how to get read of it.

Try resetting the layout to default, shift -z to zoom to fit and also check that the first clip doesn’t have a hidden L cut before 0 by expanding audio components.

I tried both. Didn’t work. I even tried resetting to factory settings, that didn’t work either. I could have swore that bar wasn’t there for the past 2 years lol

I’m using FCPX 10.2.3. As far as I know, that’s part of the interface and can’t be changed. I don’t know if I remember when that wasn’t there. I agree that it does look like wasted space, but until you mentioned it, I haven’t really noticed it.

This is definitely part of the interface. It’s been there at least since version 10.1.3 and never bothered me before.
