February 4, 2007 at 10:30 pmHAHA, YES when i mean “That can convert a file that is very limited” i mean a file that can be open by only one program. The file type is identified as the program file i am using to write the script. The program is DRakkon Script creator. So FILE says (file name.ds)===ds stands for drakkon script creator. The script consist just of simple text and writing. I was wondering if there is a downloadable converter that can convert a file into a simple file that can be openned up on microsoft word.

if it’s just plain text, you should be able to copy/paste text out of it and into word, yes? that’s about all i can suggest though – i don’t know of any converter…i assume you googled for such a thing already?

if it’s just plain text, try changing the extension to .txt and opening it in notepad or wordpad…

[Whiteviper1] “How can i change it to a txt. file”
you’re not changing it per se – you’re just changing the extension so that when you double click on it, windows will see the .txt and open it as plain text – if it was a plain text file already, notepad will display it as text and you can copy/paste – although word can open plain text files as well.
you can also just force word to open it without changing the extension – if you see the text in word then you’re good to go…

February 5, 2009 at 6:45 pmYou can convert DSS Pro files (.ds2) and DSS Classic files (.dss) to Wave files (.wav) with DSS File Converter . The software is $19 but comes with at free 30 day trial. It is sold by PCDictate.com a great place to purchase USB foot pedals and other transcription equipment.
