Seriously… does Apple think I will always be online when I need to use the help file?

I noticed a post somewhere with a great tip, and I’ll share it here.

With the help page open, select the print icon in the upper right hand corner. There’s an option there to print a book. From there you can use apple’s print menu to save the entire help file as a pdf.

The formatting is a little kludgy, and I miss not being able to click on a linked word to take you to another topic, but you will have the entire help file, flattened out to a pdf, and you can use Preview to add bookmarks! Pretty cool.

Mine is 485 pages. Now if I only had time to read it.

Interesting that Motion and Compressor have proper PDF Manuals available for download but not FCPX. Maybe they know there’s going to be a rapid series of updates to that.

    There is a full manual.

    https://help.apple.com/finalcutpro/mac/10.0/

Click the printer icon in the upper right corner and select “Book Final Cut Pro Help” from the list.

Select “Save as PDF” from the drop down menu from the print window that appears.
