  Does a JVC miniDV/SVHS deck interface with fcp?

  I can’t capture any video. When I try I get a ‘didn’t initialize deck’ message and it seems the deck isn’t being seen. It says I can use offline edit/ capture now option, but that doesn’t work either. At least I don’t get any clips of footage. Thoughts?
