Do PPro OMF files retain essential sound & other audio adjustments/ filters?

Funny true story:
An indie film we did a 5.1 mix on, the director got all upset listening to it one afternoon.
He said he did some tinkering with an audio plugin and wondering why the heck the .omf
didn’t bring it in. I had to explain to him that those kinds of things are not carried over.That kind of thing, you have to “bake in” to an audio clip BEFORE exporting to omf.

And thanks for the story. I’d be a bit leary of a director who thought he can do something the audio folks can’t.

December 10, 2019 at 4:36 pmMy audio guy said rubberbanding does not come into his software. But dissolves between clips to and audio gain adjustments and pan settings come over.

December 11, 2019 at 12:56 pmOMF is very old and has largely been replaced with .AAF files which do carry more info across.
