I’ve done a few searches on this, but haven’t found a straight answer. So, any help is greatly appreciated!!

Panning and levels adjustments I think and that is all.

    Funny true story:
An indie film we did a 5.1 mix on, the director got all upset listening to it one afternoon.
He said he did some tinkering with an audio plugin and wondering why the heck the .omf
didn’t bring it in. I had to explain to him that those kinds of things are not carried over.

That kind of thing, you have to “bake in” to an audio clip BEFORE exporting to omf.

Thank you!! It was my guess that it worked that way, but I couldn’t find anything that said so specifically. Much thanks!!

And thanks for the story. I’d be a bit leary of a director who thought he can do something the audio folks can’t.

My audio guy said rubberbanding does not come into his software. But dissolves between clips to and audio gain adjustments and pan settings come over.

OMF is very old and has largely been replaced with .AAF files which do carry more info across.
